Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Claims Manager to join our Brussels office, a role that is pivotal in evaluating, processing, negotiating, and settling claims. This position demands a technical approach to claims management, ensuring efficient resolution while also involving regular external visits to clients, brokers, experts, and co-insurers.

As a claims Manager, you will be entrusted with a variety of tasks, including:
  • Assessing insurance policy coverage and determining liability.
  • Assigning claims experts, negotiating with brokers, end clients, and third parties, and serve as the primary contact for attorneys
  • Additionally, you will represent other insurers and act as a proxy provider.
  • You will coordinate claims with colleagues, co-insurers, and principals/reinsurers.

Your profile

  • The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in insurance or an equivalent level of experience that reflects a comparable level of work and thinking.
  • Experience in managing Liability, Fire, or Fleet claims will be considered a significant asset.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication in both French and Dutch is essential, with a particular focus on managing Dutch files.
