Our client, a well-established private bank in Antwerp, is looking for an experienced internal auditor for its headquarters. The auditor will independently analyze business processes, evaluate efficiency and report to the CEO and Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in finance or law, at least 10 years of experience in financial institutions and have a strong moral compass. Description
- You analyze from an independent position the various processes within the company and also review the operation, effectiveness and efficiency of the way the processes are organized
- You report hierarchically to the CEO and functionally to the Board of Directors through the audit committee
- You supplement your reports with practical recommendations and advice that contribute to the improvement of business processes
- You interactively follow up the implementation of proposed improvement actions with stakeholders
- You maintain the necessary interactions with the bank's control functions, the external auditors and the external auditor
- You monitor the main changes in the applicable legal and prudential regulations applicable to our Bank
Your profile
You have a clean criminal record and have no conflicts of interest regarding this position.In addition, you have:
- A master's degree, preferably in the financial-economic or legal field, or equivalent through experience
- Good analytical thinking skills and you are solution oriented
- A strongly developed moral and deontological compass
- A sound knowledge and experience on the various aspects of banking
- A relevant work experience of at least 10 years in financial institutions in internal control, risk management or audit or exercising a financial function in relevant functional areas
- You have the necessary professional or academic baggage and independent judgment to approach processes with a sufficiently critical mind
- You have the ability to professionally report conclusions
- You have sufficient communication skills to communicate with various stakeholders and obtain information
- You are able to work independently and organize your work individually.
- You show sufficient independence of mind and always judge dutifully and objectively
