Our client is a private bank located in Antwerp and looking for a Compliance Officer. As a compliance officer, you manage risks such as AML, market abuse and integrity policies by performing checks and analyses according to laws and regulations. You will analyze client files, answer questions, implement new legislation, develop policies, train staff and prepare reports. We are looking for someone with at least a bachelor degree, experience in the financial sector, accuracy, critical thinking skills, strong analytical and written skills and knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
Description
- Carry out checks within the framework of the compliance monitoring plan on the various topics, taking into account the applicable laws and regulations
- Perform analyses on customer files in the context of AML, at the stage of customer awareness, review of these files and analysis of transactions
- Answering questions from employees regarding specific files & policies. Provide feedback to employees on controls
- Identification, analysis and implementation of new laws and regulations
- Development and rollout of internal policies
- Training staff on compliance topics
- Provide advice to staff regarding the application of policies and laws and regulations
- Participate in the preparation of internal and external reports (including to the board and regulators).
Your profile
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree, a legal degree is a nice to have
- Several years of experience in the financial sector is a plus
- You enjoy working in a team as well as independently
- You work accurately and are a good critical thinker
- You have strong analytical and written skills
- Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
- You have a sense of initiative.
