Description
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to create and implement strategic business plans for designated practice groups that align with best practices and the overall objectives of the organization;
- Develop and oversee marketing and business development budgets for the assigned groups;
- Partner with practice group leaders to prepare for and follow up on quarterly meetings with the Management Committee;
- Work alongside attorneys to identify clients and contacts for targeted business opportunities;
- Engage directly with senior attorneys to execute business development initiatives and programs aimed at generating new business with current clients and potential prospects;
- Craft tailored and persuasive proposals to secure new business and enhance client relationships;
- Utilize market research, data analysis, and digital tools to evaluate market opportunities and support the preparation for client engagements;
- Collaborate with the Client Relations team to sustain and broaden client relationships;
- Assist in the integration processes for lateral hires;
- Identify and assess external sponsorship and speaking opportunities and ensure effective involvement;
- Contribute to the creation of business development training sessions intended for attorneys;
- Work in close coordination with the content team to devise strategies that leverage content campaigns and engage interested clients;
- Produce high-quality materials that effectively represent the firm's brand and uniqueness for market visibility, content initiatives, and the acquisition of new business across various channels;
- Write concise and focused submissions for relevant practices for directory rankings, such as Chambers;
- Oversee the client communication process for the practice group, ensuring effective outreach to target audiences;
- Utilize dashboard insights for precise targeting and planning of marketing campaigns;
- Collaborate closely with the events team to organize client events, including concept creation, project planning, execution, and post-event follow-up.
Your profile
- Holds a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution;
- Has a minimum of five years of experience in marketing within professional services and business development;
- Exhibits strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team management; prior experience in a legal environment is highly advantageous;
- Possesses exceptional interpersonal capabilities along with strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Demonstrates effective leadership qualities, taking initiative and being proactive in their approach;
- Maintains a high standard of accountability for all deliverables with the capability to manage numerous projects simultaneously;
- Brings experience in leveraging technology and software relevant to marketing, including databases and tools for knowledge management;
- Is proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with Salesforce is an added benefit.
