Description
- You address daily legal issues and offer legal counsel, which involves conducting analyses, performing research, and creating drafts ;
- You create, evaluate, and engage in negotiations regarding a variety of transactions and contractual agreements, such as bilateral loans, syndicated loans, ISDA documents, risk participation agreements, terms and conditions, and service contracts ;
- You observe, analyze, and evaluate the potential effects of relevant legal and regulatory changes that may impact the organization, as issued by the CSSF, EBA, or other relevant authorities at both EU and local levels ;
- You prepare, assess, and revise the legal and regulatory policies and procedures of the organization ;
- You assist with and enhance internal projects, training sessions, and process optimization efforts ;
- You oversee and/or support the legal operations of the organization's branches ;
- You handle complaints and manage litigation in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal protocols;
- You liaise with and oversee external law firm collaborations, as well as the outsourcing of certain legal tasks ;
- You perform any additional legal or regulatory duties as requested by the Head of Department and/or the organization's management.
Your profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in Law, preferably awarded in the EU, and possessing a CCDL certification or similar supplementary qualifications in Luxembourg Law is considered a plus.
- You communicate fluently in both written and spoken English, with proficiency in French being an additional advantage.
- You bring 5 to 8 years of experience from a legal department within an international bank or a reputable law firm, specifically with a focus on banking law.
- You possess a strong understanding of EU and local banking and financial regulations, such as EMIR, MiFID II, PSD 2, CRD VI, and DORA, along with insights into Luxembourg's banking operations, including corporate and investment banking as well as financial markets.
- You demonstrate a high level of precision and self-organization, fostering a collaborative and solutions-focused mindset.
- You showcase strong interpersonal abilities, enabling you to communicate effectively and operate successfully within a multicultural environment while collaborating across various departments and with external partners.
- You uphold a sense of discretion, confidentiality, integrity, and transparency in all professional dealings.
