Description
- You monitor applicable laws and regulations and evaluate how they affect the organization;
- You provide guidance to management regarding necessary compliance actions;
- You prepare and submit reports to relevant regulatory bodies;
- You create and sustain compliance programs, policies, and control mechanisms;
- You serve as the primary liaison for regulators and foster relationships with them;
- You perform risk assessments and execute strategies to mitigate identified risks;
- You oversee compliance by analyzing processes, transactions, and relevant records;
- You coordinate audits and ensure follow-up on identified action items;
- You organize training sessions and promote awareness of compliance issues throughout the organization;
- You manage documentation and report findings to both management and the board.
Your profile
- Holds a Master's degree in Law, Economics, or Finance;
- Possesses a minimum of 7 years of applicable professional experience;
- Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of relevant regulations within the financial services sector and guidelines pertaining to the payments industry (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, AML/CFT);
- Demonstrates a solid grasp of compliance frameworks and industry best practices;
- Has a proven track record in the development and execution of compliance initiatives and controls;
- Is knowledgeable about risk assessment approaches and risk management methodologies;
- Is fluent in both Dutch and French, with a strong command of English;
- Must successfully undergo a suitability evaluation conducted by the National Bank of Belgium (Fit and Proper).
