Description
- You will offer legal counsel regarding Wealth Management functions, primarily focusing on aspects related to insurance, lending, civil, commercial, corporate, and investor protection law ;
- You will advise the organization on its obligations and responsibilities concerning these functions, especially regarding general banking, bank insurance, cross-border activities, credit structuring and implementation, along with regulatory considerations under MIFID with a concentrated emphasis on consumer lending ;
- You will prepare, examine, and negotiate various types of agreements related to the mentioned activities ;
- You will contribute to group projects by providing insightful legal recommendations ;
- You will engage actively in legal and regulatory updates within the organization, including the introduction of new products in collaboration with other departments such as compliance, risk management, product development, and IT ;
- You will represent the organization in external working groups and associations ;
- You will manage external legal counsel as needed ;
- You will assist the Head of Legal and team members on a variety of legal matters.
Your profile
- Holds a university degree in law (Master's level), with a preference for those who possess the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Law and Economics (CCDL) ;
- Ideally has qualifications as a lawyer recognized within the European Union ;
- Brings a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a prominent financial institution or law firm based in Luxembourg ;
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the legal, regulatory, and banking landscape in Luxembourg ;
- Exhibits exceptional organizational and coordination abilities, adept at balancing attention to detail with a clear focus on essential issues and priorities ;
- Is fluent in both English and French, with proficiency in additional languages being a significant advantage ;
- Functions effectively as a collaborative team member ;
- Displays flexibility and versatility to handle a variety of legal topics ;
- Possesses outstanding writing and communication capabilities ;
- Has strong interpersonal skills and is self-driven, showing initiative and motivation in their work.
