Description
- Act as a legal point of reference for capital markets and treasury activities, ensuring both advisory support and smooth execution of transactions across areas such as debt issuance programmes, structured finance, securitisation and derivatives.
- Be responsible for preparing, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of legal documents, including both standard frameworks (ISDA, CSA, GMRA) and transaction-specific documentation.
- Handle the drafting and validation of key deal materials, including prospectuses, offering documents, term sheets and related contracts.
- Provide clear guidance on European and Luxembourg regulatory requirements, helping the business navigate frameworks such as MiFID, EMIR, PRIIPs, BRRD and others.
- Work closely with front office teams to support the design and rollout of new products, while stepping in as a control function when necessary.
- Build and maintain relationships with external lawyers, regulators and counterparties throughout the lifecycle of transactions.
- Analyse potential legal and regulatory risks and deliver practical, solution-oriented recommendations aligned with business needs.
- Keep track of market and regulatory changes affecting capital markets, FX, treasury and derivatives, and assess their impact.
- Take part in strengthening internal governance by contributing to policies, procedures and legal documentation.
- Stay involved in industry discussions and working groups to remain aligned with market standards.
- Support the Head of Legal and collaborate actively with the wider team on both day-to-day matters and strategic topics.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent).
- Fully qualified lawyer within the European Union.
- At least 5 years of experience gained in a financial institution or a law firm in Luxembourg, ideally within a large structure.
- Solid understanding of the Luxembourg banking sector, including its legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong organisational and coordination abilities, with a keen eye for detail while maintaining a clear view of priorities.
- Fluent in both English and French (mandatory); additional languages are considered a plus.
- Collaborative mindset and strong team spirit.
- Adaptable and versatile, with the ability to handle a broad range of legal topics.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, proactive and self-driven.
