Description
- You will advise and support our clients with their accounting processes.
- You will be part of a team of tax advisors and accountants, working closely together to serve our clients.
- You will perform calculations related to taxes and social security.
- You manage monthly payroll and handle accounting obligations in Belgium, such as indirect VAT returns and statutory financial statements, and verify accounting data.
- You take independent responsibility for clients.
- You develop reports in accordance with the guidelines of the ITAA procedure.
- You know how to process and analyze data in a way that is valuable to our clients.
- You supervise projects independently.
- You process accounting documents via digital platforms and accounting software.
- You prepare tax forms and VAT lists, such as the client list and the request for foreign VAT refunds.
- You mentor junior accountants to help them become independent and teach them to work effectively and autonomously.
- You will be trained in Belgian and international tax matters, covering both corporate income tax and VAT.
Your profile
The ideal candidate:- Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax consulting.
- Has 3 to 5 years of experience working at a Belgian accounting firm.
- Is proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Is fluent in French and Dutch and has a good command of English.
- Is familiar with both international and Belgian accounting standards (GAAP).
- Has extensive knowledge of general accounting practices and relevant legislation.
- Is capable of managing client projects independently.
- Takes responsibility for preparing financial reports, accounting reconciliations, and other financial accounting tasks.
- Has experience with accounting and tax software such as Exact Online, Yuki/Visma, Wbks, Clearfact, etc.
- Takes responsibility for the quality of the work and can excel in a stimulating work environment.
