Description

• You will collaborate as part of a client service team, working closely with tax professionals and accountants to deliver exceptional service to our clients;
• You will handle monthly payrolls and oversee accounting responsibilities in Belgium, including indirect tax submissions, statutory financial reporting, and the verification of accounting records;
• You will receive training on both Belgian and international tax issues encompassing corporate tax and VAT;
• You manage calculations related to tax and social security matters;
• You independently manage client accounts and interactions;
• You will prepare reports in alignment with the procedures set forth by the relevant professional association;
• You analyze and handle data effectively to provide valuable insights for our clients;
• You will autonomously supervise various projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and quality standards;
• You process accounting documents using digital platforms and accounting software efficiently;
• You are responsible for the preparation of fiscal documents and VAT listings, including client lists and requests for VAT refunds from foreign jurisdictions;
• You will mentor junior accountants, helping them develop their skills and become more autonomous and effective in their roles.

Your profile

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or taxation;
• Is a native French speaker and has a strong command of English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus;
• Possesses 3 to 5 years of experience within a Belgian accounting firm;
• Is proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
• Has a solid understanding of both international and Belgian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of general accounting practices and relevant legislation;
• Can independently manage client projects efficiently;
• Is responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting accounting reconciliations, and executing various financial accounting tasks;
• Is experienced with accounting and tax software tools such as Exact Online, Yuki/Visma, Wbks, and Clearfact;
• Takes ownership of work quality, thriving in an empowering environment that encourages responsibility.
