Description

  • You become an integral member of a client-focused team where tax advisors and accountants collaborate closely to serve clients effectively;
  • You perform calculations related to tax and social security, ensuring compliance and accuracy;
  • You are responsible for managing monthly payroll activities and fulfilling accounting obligations within Belgium, including indirect tax submissions, statutory financial statements, and the verification of accounting records;
  • You handle client accounts with a high degree of independence, providing tailored solutions and support;
  • You develop reports in alignment with the ITAA procedures, delivering insightful information to clients;
  • You analyze and process data in a manner that is beneficial for our clients’ needs and objectives;
  • You oversee projects autonomously, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard;
  • You process accounting documents through digital platforms and accounting software, enhancing productivity and accuracy;
  • You prepare fiscal forms and VAT listings, such as client lists and applications for foreign VAT refunds, maintaining thorough documentation;
  • You guide and mentor junior accountants, aiding them in becoming more self-sufficient while teaching them effective working practices;
  • You will receive training on both Belgian and international tax topics, encompassing corporate tax and VAT matters.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation;
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience within a Belgian accounting firm;
  • Fluent in French as a native language, with strong proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Familiar with both International and Belgian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and relevant legislation;
  • Capable of independently managing client projects and deliverables;
  • Experienced in preparing financial reports, conducting accounting reconciliations, and various financial accounting activities;
  • Proficient in accounting and tax software such as Exact Online, Yuki/Visma, Wbks, and Clearfact;
  • Demonstrates accountability and ownership of work quality and thrives in a supportive environment;
  • Experience in a fiduciary firm is mandatory.
