Description

Our client is seeking a claims adjuster to join its team within the Property Claims department. This position offers a diverse perspective on the business world across various sectors and exposes you to a range of insurance products, such as fire and technical risk claims. You will be in daily contact with brokers, policyholders, experts, and attorneys, managing the cases assigned to you from start to finish. Your primary mission will be to handle complex claims involving significant financial stakes, assess the consequences for both the policyholder and the company, anticipate potential impacts, and maintain a constructive professional relationship with clients and stakeholders to resolve claims in accordance with the policyholder’s interests and the terms of their contract.

You will begin by managing fire-related risks, developing your skills and knowledge. Subsequently, a transition to managing industrial risks and technical insurance will be possible. Thanks to ongoing support through both internal and external training, as well as tailored coaching, you will gain autonomy and independence over time.

• *Your daily responsibilities:**
• Manage the entire process of complex cases assigned to you, primarily technical risks such as machinery breakdown and all-risk construction coverage, by assessing coverage, liabilities, potential recourse, and compensation for damages.
• Establish reserves in a thoughtful manner, while adhering to specific established instructions.
• Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders, answer their questions, and proactively keep them informed about the progress of case management.
• Serve as a point of contact both internally and externally when managing complex claims to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate interactions with various stakeholders and define the strategy to be adopted for claims management.
• Participate in initiatives and projects aimed at improving the efficiency of our operations and providing superior service to policyholders.

Your profile

The ideal candidate:

• Holds a bachelor’s degree in insurance, supplemented by a master’s degree in law or economics;
• Has solid experience managing cases related to technical risks, such as machinery breakdown and all-risk construction insurance;
• Is fluent in French and has proficiency in Dutch, which is a plus;
• Shows a strong interest in technical cases within the property insurance sector;
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing;
• Is highly customer-focused, able to quickly identify client needs while adapting communication style to the individual and the case;
• Possesses an analytical mindset, enabling the critical evaluation of information;
• Organizes effectively and knows how to plan work time optimally;
• Is a team player, open to others’ ideas;
• Reacts quickly to situations and makes decisions efficiently;
• Is flexible and receptive to change, adapting to industry developments and evolving requirements.
