Description
We are seeking a Finance & Reporting Manager for a financially stable insurance company with a long-standing presence in the Belgian market. This role is part of a planned succession plan and sits at the intersection of financial governance, reporting, and people management.The Finance & Reporting Manager combines substantive financial expertise with maturity and a broad perspective, serving as a key link between operations and strategic decision-making.
In this role, you will take charge of finance and reporting and ensure the quality, reliability, and continuity of financial processes.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- leading, guiding, and further developing the finance team;
- ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings;
- preparing and coordinating financial, regulatory, and prudential reports, including Solvency II;
- preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support management and the executive board;
- monitoring profitability, solvency, and cash flow, with a focus on medium- and long-term financial stability;
- serving as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (executive board, auditor, regulator, external partners);
- optimizing financial processes, tools, and dashboards to ensure transparent and consistent reporting;

Your profile
We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable working in a regulated environment and who brings both professional and personal maturity to the role.You have:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably in the insurance industry or a highly regulated sector;
- a strong command of BE GAAP, closing processes, and tax obligations;
- experience with or a demonstrable affinity for prudential reporting (Solvency II);
- proven experience in people management;
- thorough knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis;
- proficiency with ERP systems and reporting tools;
- excellent knowledge of Dutch and very good knowledge of French.
