Job Description
  • In collaboration with the sales manager, you will develop an annual sales and marketing plan.
  • You will proactively and independently reach out to business owners, company executives, and organizations to inform them about the available insurance products. These are customers who already use other services and products offered by the organization.
  • You take the initiative to approach potential customers, while also relying on support from headquarters, such as direct mail campaigns, participation in external networking events, and the organization of informational evenings.
  • You regularly consult with colleagues from the sales department and various internal teams to improve the effectiveness of commercial processes. Additionally, you stay informed about developments within your area of expertise and identify new or changing customer needs. You share these findings with various internal departments (direct marketing support, product management, operations, etc.) so that adjustments can be made in a timely manner.
  • You visit clients, whether in person, via teleconference, by phone, or by inviting them to a consultation at the office.
  • During these meetings, you assess their needs. You advise, inform, and convince them about the various insurance options.
  • You prepare quotes, with or without the support of back-office staff.
  • In this role, you report to the sales manager and work closely with other account managers responsible for different product categories or regions in Belgium.

Your profile

The ideal candidate:
  • Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
  • Has commercial experience in the insurance sector.
  • Is well-versed in supplementary pension options for the self-employed (such as VAPZ, IPT, POZ) and group insurance for employees.
  • Has a basic understanding of non-life insurance for the self-employed and businesses.
  • Holds a PCP or VVD certificate or is willing to obtain one soon.
  • Is fluent in French, and knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Is entrepreneurial and motivated, and can work very independently.
  • Is driven by challenges such as prospecting, persuading, and achieving strong results.
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoys collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals.
  • Is eager to learn and motivated to further develop themselves.
  • Works from home and a regional office near their place of residence, and is flexible regarding travel, such as client visits, internal training, or meetings with colleagues. Is willing to work occasional evenings, such as for networking events, information sessions, or client visits.
