Description

  • You actively monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory initiatives at the regional level.
  • You assess the impact of proposed decrees and ordinances on members.
  • You collaborate with relevant experts to prepare position papers.
  • You anticipate significant political and regulatory developments within the region.
  • You develop and implement targeted lobbying strategies with regional ministerial offices, administrations, and parliament members.
  • You represent the organization in committees and events affiliated with local business associations.
  • You identify regional stakeholders to cultivate collaboration opportunities, particularly in cross-sector projects.
  • You ensure alignment and coherence between federal, regional, and European perspectives in partnership with colleagues.
  • You contribute to establishing the organization’s official positions on regional matters alongside experts.
  • You serve as the primary contact for members regarding regional issues.
  • You translate complex issues into clear and actionable messages.
  • You participate in the Public Affairs working group with members.
  • You provide regular and structured reports to the Director of Public Affairs.
  • You prepare summaries and notes for management and governing bodies.

Your profile

  • Holds a Master’s degree in political science, law, public administration, or a related field.
  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in public affairs, a ministerial office, an association, or a consultancy firm.
  • Demonstrates thorough understanding of the political landscape, with a keen interest in regional issues.
  • Exhibits strong political acumen and outstanding interpersonal skills, combined with analytical and synthetic capabilities.
  • Is autonomous, meticulous, and dependable.
  • Displays excellent networking abilities and the capacity to work cross-functionally.
  • Has exceptional written communication skills.
  • Is proficient in Dutch and French, with a strong command of English.
