Description
- You will lead the Belgian finance team, provide coaching, and drive further growth.
- You will ensure a clear structure within the finance organization, including well-defined roles, responsibilities, and procedures.
- You are responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, such as budgets, actuals, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
- You deliver financial reports at the group level in accordance with applicable guidelines and deadlines.
- You analyze financial and operational performance and identify trends.
- You proactively advise the management team on financial, operational, and tax issues.
- You identify financial and tax risks and help manage them.
- You maintain contact with external parties, such as accountants and tax specialists.
- You contribute to integration issues and organizational changes from within the finance department.
Your profile
The ideal candidate:- Holds a university degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Auditing.
- Has at least 5 years of experience in a financial management role.
- Has extensive knowledge of taxation, including corporate income tax, VAT, and basic payroll tax.
- Is familiar with how the insurance sector operates
- Has experience in people management.
- Possesses excellent communication skills in Dutch and is also comfortable expressing themselves in French and/or English.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills and is decisive and results-oriented.
- Has an eye for detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Knows how to motivate and guide others during times of change.
- Feels at ease in a dynamic work environment where collaboration with various stakeholders is essential.
