Claims Assistant

Our client, a global insurer, is looking for a new colleague for their Claims department. You will mainly be responsible for administrative support.

Description

  • Review and assess new claims files
  • Register new claims and create files
  • Add relevant parties to the file
  • Add financial details such as bank accounts
  • Determine reserves and record them in the file
  • Process payments and register them in the system
  • Sort and archive incoming correspondence
  • Close files once they have been fully processed
  • Schedule files for follow-up or consultation
  • Conduct administrative correspondence with insurers and brokers about the status of matters
  • Manage archives and keep them up to date
  • Scan paper files and store them digitally
  • Provide information and updates to or request them from UW, OPs, or the accounting department

Your profile

  • You preferably have some initial experience with insurance, but other strong administrative experience may also be convincing
  • You are highly motivated and a hard worker
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English and can get by in French
  • You are accurate and have strict time management skills
  • You are flexible and enjoy working in a team
  • You have a good knowledge of Office 365
  • You have good communication skills, are analytical, and enjoy working with numbers
