Description
- You independently assist business units with day-to-day legal matters, including negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, as well as managing disputes and potential litigation;
- You provide business-oriented legal research and advice, as well as any other legal assistance required by the business units;
- You contribute to the development of policies on sector-specific topics, corporate governance, or regulatory issues;
- You provide clarification on legal terminology or required specifications, while organizing legal training sessions at least twice a year;
- You communicate and negotiate with external parties (external advisors, regulatory authorities, mediators, etc.), building relationships of trust and supporting business units in these interactions;
- You draft and amend contracts, procedures, and various legal documents;
- You create and maintain a robust legal database related to contracts;
- You optimize legal processes to eliminate inefficiencies;
- You conduct ongoing legal monitoring to stay up to date on applicable laws and inform business units accordingly;
- You regularly analyze the entity’s actions and decisions, identify areas of risk, and propose alternatives as well as mitigation measures;
- You assist with transactional operations and oversee external counsel as needed (mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, capital markets);
- You supervise and review the work of junior members of the legal team.
Your profile
- Is highly self-reliant and able to review the work of junior legal staff while providing effective support to the legal manager;
- Is recognized as the tax expert, offering informed advice and serving as the point of contact for all matters related to this field, including for the legal manager;
- Will be able to ensure the smooth operation of legal processes;
- Will manage human resources-related matters for junior team members, assisting the legal manager;
- Is willing to take on any other tasks that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis by the legal manager.
