Description

As Team Leader Claims Automotive, you will have a dual role within the team:
  • You will act as a claims manager:
  • You will ensure the optimal handling of customer claims files and will be the point of contact for any problems or complaints.
  • You will thoroughly analyze claims files and negotiate with customers, the other party, insurers, experts, and lawyers.
  • You always develop effective solutions, taking strict deadlines into account.
  • You handle each file from start to finish: from opening to follow-up, payment, and finally closure and archiving.
  • You keep a close eye on the agenda and incoming mail.
  • You compile claims statistics and interpret them in collaboration with your team members.
  • You are also a team leader:
  • You provide support to the administrators under your responsibility with questions from customers, insurers, and other parties involved.
  • You manage Block Payments.
  • You approve vacation days and monitor the team's absences.
  • You organize and manage the leave planning and backup for the team.
  • You organize a monthly team meeting.
  • You are involved in the recruitment process for new employees and provide training for them in the various systems.

Your profile

The ideal candidate:
  • Has a bachelor's degree in insurance, economics, or a similar field, or:
  • Has at least 5 years of experience in a claims department (auto or fire), with initial experience in personnel management considered a plus.
  • Is fluent in Dutch and very good in French, and has a solid command of English.
  • Always works with a focus on customer satisfaction and results.
  • Has excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Is a true team player and has the ability to inspire a team.
