For our client in downtown Antwerp, we are looking for an experienced Claims Handler to manage a diverse portfolio of international transportation and liability claims. The position offers direct involvement in the day-to-day operations of the maritime and logistics sectors.
Description
- Managing international claims from filing to settlement
- Analyzing contractual structures and liability issues within multimodal transport
- Negotiating with counterparties and following up on recourse claims as needed
- Collaborating with insurers, brokers, members, correspondents, and technical experts
- Attending expert assessments, meetings, and client visits as relevant
- Ensuring proper administrative follow-up and documentation of claims
insurance, and transportation operations.
Your profile
- Experience in claims handling, transportation insurance, or the maritime/logistics sector
- A legal background or strong knowledge of contracts is a plus
- Very good knowledge of English (working language); Dutch is the office language
- French is not required but is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and an international outlook
- Willing to be present at the office at least 2 to 3 days a week
