For our client in Antwerp city center, we are looking for an experienced Claims Handler to manage a varied portfolio of international transport and liability claims. The position offers direct involvement in the operational reality of the maritime and logistics sector.
Description
- Managing international claims files from notification to closure
- Analyzing contractual structures and liability issues within multimodal transport
- Negotiating with counterparties and following up on recourse actions where necessary
- Collaborating with insurers, brokers, members, correspondents, and technical experts
- Attending expert assessments, meetings, and client visits when relevant
- Ensuring correct administrative follow-up and documentation of files
insurance, and transport operations.
Your profile
- Experience in claims handling, transport insurance, or the maritime/logistics sector
- Legal background or strong contractual knowledge is a plus
- Very good knowledge of English (working language); Dutch is the office language
- French is not a requirement, but is a plus
- Strong analytical skills, good communication skills, and internationally oriented
- Willing to be present at the office at least 2 to 3 days a week
