We are looking for a Junior Underwriting Engineer for our client, an international insurance company. Read on for more information!
Description
The underwriter will determine the insurance premium based on the necessary plans and specifications. Site visits may follow as part of the policy monitoring process. In general, you will ensure the insurability of the risks to be underwritten:- Managing a broker/client portfolio
- Analyzing risks upon receiving quote requests
- Determining rates for the risks
- Preparing a quote and managing the quote until its finalization
- Managing the coverage policies issued
- Responsibility for a portion of the broker portfolio
- Improving external relationships through regular visits to brokers
- Growing business volume (within the framework of our strategy)
- Carefully maintaining current files
Your profile
- You have a degree in an engineering field, such as industrial engineering, civil engineering, etc.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Good command of Dutch, French, and English
