Broker Trade Finance & Trade Credit Insurance

Our client is a highly specialized, family-owned international broker exclusively focused on Trade Credit Insurance and Trade Finance. Within this niche, they operate at senior decision-maker level and advise on complex, high-impact mandates.

The Benelux platform is intentionally lean and entrepreneurial. There is no heavy hierarchy, no rigid commercial framework, and no micromanagement. This is a mandate for someone who values autonomy, takes ownership naturally, and builds business through judgment and credibility.

Description

You will assume responsibility for a high-quality portfolio of mid-market and large corporate clients across Belgium and Luxembourg, while driving further growth in the region.

This role sits at the intersection of:
  • Strategic client management / ownership
  • Technical structuring (credit insurance & trade finance solutions)
  • Targeted business development
Profiles with stronger roots in either account management or business development are welcome. Ultimately, alignment with the firm’s culture — entrepreneurial, discreet, relationship-driven — will determine success.

You will:
  • Act as trusted advisor to CFOs, Treasurers, and Credit Directors
  • Structure and negotiate complex credit insurance and trade finance programs
  • Originate new mandates through intelligent prospecting and network development
  • Lead transactions end-to-end, from analysis to placement and renewal
  • Maintain strong relationships with insurers, underwriters, and finance providers

Your profile

  • Solid experience in Trade Credit Insurance, Trade Finance, Receivables Finance, or Trade Credit Risk advisory
  • Strong grasp of working capital dynamics and underwriting logic
  • Comfortable at senior executive level
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience for longer sales cycles
  • Relationship-oriented rather than transactional
  • Fluent Dutch (core market), strong English; French is a plus
