Credit Risk Officer

Take on a key position within an international financial institution where you will contribute directly to the management and enhancement of credit risk frameworks across multiple European entities. As a Credit Risk Officer, you will develop strong technical expertise, work on complex cross-border topics, and thrive in a multicultural environment at the heart of the institution’s European risk governance.

Description

  • Manage and monitor the credit risk portfolio, including industry analysis, credit appetite, and limit management.
  • Implement and update credit policies and procedures in line with group standards and EU regulations.
  • Identify, measure, monitor, and report credit risks for headquarters and branches.
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc credit risk reporting for internal stakeholders and regulators.
  • Support audit interactions and perform credit reviews (on-site/off-site).
  • Contribute to the quarterly IFRS9 ECL process and maintain credit risk classification standards.
  • Conduct risk screening, maintain watchlists, and identify emerging portfolio risks.
  • Perform stress testing to assess portfolio resilience under varying economic conditions.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Statistics.
  • 2–5 years of experience in credit risk within the financial industry; Bloomberg knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of EU/EBA regulations related to credit risk (IFRS 9, forbearance, leveraged finance, NPL, loan origination & monitoring).
  • Excellent analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
  • Well-organized, autonomous, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative, positive, and comfortable in a multicultural environment.
