Senior underwriter Property

Description

• Analyzing, assessing, advising on, and accepting risks in the property line for the corporate segment
• In consultation with the relevant managers, you monitor the profitability of the existing portfolio and, where necessary, develop technically sound proposals to adjust it, which you then negotiate with the brokers.
• You collaborate proactively within the Underwriting team to establish a uniform underwriting policy.
• You formulate proposals to improve the quality of underwriting and take the initiative to further strengthen our position in the corporate market.
• You establish and maintain commercial relationships with brokers and clients in a smooth and efficient manner.
• You stay informed about developments within the industry and continuously update your knowledge.
• Supporting fellow underwriters on complex cases and engaging in dynamic consultations with our technical inspectors gives you that extra sense of satisfaction.

Your profile

• You have a solid understanding of the regulations governing property insurance for the commercial sector, with a specific focus on the following products: special risks “named perils” and special risks “all perils except.”
• You have at least five years of experience as an underwriter in this segment.
• You are familiar with the commercial insurance market and brokerage in this segment.
• You are client- and results-oriented, analytical, creative, and possess a strong ability to persuade; you also take the initiative easily. Bilingualism is a plus.
• You work well in a team, are eager to learn, and are open to change.
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree level of thinking, or equivalent through experience. A master’s degree in a technical field is a plus.
