Description
- You analyze and assess risks within the BRAND & PROPERTY segment for businesses.
- You provide advice and make decisions regarding the acceptance of these risks.
- In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, you monitor the profitability of the existing portfolio.
- Where necessary, you develop technical proposals to adjust the portfolio and negotiate these with brokers.
- You work proactively with the Underwriting team to implement a consistent underwriting policy.
- You formulate suggestions for improving the quality of underwriting.
- You take the initiative to further strengthen our position in the corporate market.
- You efficiently build and maintain business relationships with brokers and clients.
- You stay constantly informed about the latest developments in the sector and invest in your personal growth.
- You support fellow underwriters on complex cases and maintain dynamic communication with technical inspectors to achieve optimal results.
Your profile
We are looking for the ideal candidate for the role of Property Underwriter for Commercial Clients who fits the following profile:- You have extensive knowledge of the laws and regulations governing property insurance in the commercial segment, with a focus on special risks.
- You have prior work experience as an underwriter within this specific segment.
- You are familiar with the world of commercial insurance and the associated brokerage industry.
- You have a customer-focused and results-driven attitude, think analytically, and are creative, with strong persuasive skills. You proactively take the initiative.
- Fluency in Dutch is essential, while knowledge of French is a significant asset.
- You work well in a team, are eager to learn, and are open to change.
- You have a level of intellectual ability equivalent to a master’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably supplemented by technical training or relevant experience.
