SharePoint Document Management Specialist

In this role, you will be the go-to person for smooth digital collaboration. You bring structure to SharePoint, keep documentation clear and up to date, and help teams quickly find the information they need. It’s a hands-on position with real impact, at the intersection of projects, audits and compliance.

Description

As a Document Management Specialist (SharePoint), you are the go-to person ensuring smooth and structured digital collaboration. You make sure documentation is well organised, up to date, easy to find, and accessible to the right people—especially for projects, audits and compliance.
  • Manage SharePoint sites, libraries, folder structures, metadata (TermStore) and access rights.
  • Support and coach teams on how to use SharePoint for projects, audits and compliance.
  • Maintain project documentation: keep it current, consistent and properly versioned.
  • Troubleshoot access issues and provide end-user support.
  • Test new features, share feedback with IT and help improve best practices.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, manuals, forms and internal communications via SharePoint.
  • Support migration/transition from the old to the new SharePoint (structure, clean-up, organisation).

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree (ideally in document management / library & information studies / information management) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong SharePoint skills: structure, links, document upload, filing logic, basic understanding of metadata and access management.
  • Languages: fluent Dutch and French, basic English.
  • Personality: highly organised, detail-oriented, administratively strong, communicative and assertive enough to enforce structure and rules when needed.
  • Important: interest in IT is not sufficient — strong SharePoint structure and document management know-how is key.
