Description
- You underwrite property business in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and authority levels;
- You maintain strong communication with business development teams, colleagues in the head office, underwriters, Chief Underwriting Officer, Head of Property & Casualty, and the branch manager;
- You cultivate and sustain a robust relationship with brokers;
- You ensure all reporting is completed accurately and punctually for both internal and external stakeholders;
- You manage timely and precise treatment of DAMP (Data Analytics Management Process);
- You ensure effective and timely treatment of Facultative Reinsurance (Fac RI);
- You verify that policy wordings align with industry standards and company requirements;
- You collaborate closely with the Risk Engineering team and ensure follow-up on their recommendations;
- You create appropriate technical pricing for each policy;
- You conduct peer reviews in accordance with company guidelines;
- You oversee data quality management to ensure accuracy and reliability;
- You monitor underwriting performance and implement necessary measures as required;
- You participate in meetings with clients, brokers, and business partners;
- You attend relevant seminars and courses for professional development;
- You keep abreast of and share insights on market trends;
- You supervise tasks performed by the Underwriting Assistant;
- You manage and complete any special assignments or projects as directed by the branch manager;
- You foster and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external contacts.
Your profile
- Master degree;
- A requirement of at least five years of relevant experience in Property Underwriting, ensuring you bring valuable knowledge to the role;
- Proficiency in French, Dutch, and English to effectively communicate in a multilingual environment;
- Advanced skills in Excel to facilitate data analysis and reporting;
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, paired with strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration;
- The flexibility to work independently while also integrating seamlessly into team initiatives.
