Description
As a Senior Package Underwriter, you will be responsible for the following tasks:- You analyze and assess risks associated with various insurance proposals to ensure appropriate coverage and pricing.
- You utilize your comprehensive knowledge of underwriting principles to evaluate submissions and underwrite accounts that align with company guidelines.
- You work with Lloyds and MGA and other stakeholders to broaden your understanding and enhance underwriting processes.
- You engage in direct interactions with brokers to discuss insurance portfolios, coverage options, and tailoring solutions to meet specific client needs.
- You develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers to facilitate effective communication and partnership opportunities.
- You collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless operations and provide exceptional customer service.
- You continuously monitor market trends and adjustments to underwriting standards to remain competitive in the field.
- You provide mentoring and guidance to junior underwriters, sharing your expertise and promoting best practices within the team.
- You assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate underwriting decisions and strategies to stakeholders.
Your profile
The ideal candidate:- Possesses fluency in Dutch and/or French, along with exceptional command of the English language.
- Has over a decade of professional experience in underwriting, demonstrating expertise in risk assessment and evaluation.
- Is well-versed in Anglo-Saxon insurance frameworks, showcasing a deep understanding of their principles and applications.
- Displays strong analytical skills, enabling effective decision-making and strategic planning in complex underwriting scenarios.
- Maintains a solid grasp of market trends and regulatory frameworks affecting the insurance industry, contributing to informed practices.
- Exhibits excellent communication abilities, fostering collaboration with diverse teams and building strong client relationships.
