Description
- You develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures to educate, inform, and enhance standards across the organization.
- You conduct and supervise thorough information gathering, process mapping, and analysis to recognize and evaluate compliance risks, requiring extensive collaboration with various departments and engagement with relevant stakeholders.
- You take ownership of and develop a Product Governance Framework.
- You play a vital and proactive role in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring regulatory risks, while also reporting on the efficiency of internal systems and controls to senior management.
- You provide regulatory guidance and advice that harmonizes commercial awareness with achieving positive outcomes for customers and compliance.
- You design, implement, and execute effective compliance training programs as necessary.
- You lead and assist with compliance-related initiatives and projects, including research, regulatory applications, and returns.
- You investigate and address compliance issues, executing root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.
- You interpret data, analyze key performance indicators, and prepare regular reports for management.
- You contribute to ensuring that Consumer Duty Obligations are fulfilled by delivering ‘good outcomes’.
- You identify and mitigate Conduct Risk effectively.
- You participate in company-wide initiatives where your compliance-related expertise can be utilized.
- You communicate and collaborate effectively with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies such as the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), and Financial Services Market Authority (FSMA).
Your profile
- Profound knowledge of the European Regulatory Landscape and its essential requirements.
- Comprehensive understanding of the general insurance industry, encompassing its products, services, and market trends.
- A proven track record of approximately 5-10 years in compliance positions within the general insurance sector, emphasizing the establishment and oversight of compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in English is required, with additional fluency in French and/or Dutch being highly desirable.
- Robust experience in recognizing, evaluating, and managing regulatory risks within insurance organizations.
- Specialized expertise in the prevention of financial crimes and ensuring compliance.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of interpreting intricate regulations and delivering practical, actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated competence in planning and executing tasks efficiently in dynamic and shifting environments.
