Description
- You assess risk factors and claims history and translate these insights into tailored proposals for both existing relationships and potential clients;
- You manage the entire process from price quote to formal application for coverage, compiling a complete and accurate file for further processing;
- You work in consultation with product development to update and refine underwriting criteria and rate guidelines;
- You will handle rate filings for large fleets and special cases and provide support for complex inquiries from colleagues focused on smaller companies;
- You collaborate with the regional commercial manager in customer discussions and development of personalized solutions;
- You are responsible for the preparation of complex risks and discuss them in consultation with the internal underwriting committee;
- You systematically monitor the profitability of the portfolio and contribute to the pricing and underwriting policy in collaboration with our prevention and risk management department;
- You advise colleagues and brokers on insurance solutions, coverages and product packages;
- You continuously stay abreast of relevant developments within the field and share valuable knowledge with colleagues;
- You build strong professional relationships with external partners such as brokers and specialists, and recognize commercial opportunities as they arise.
Your profile
- You have at least five years of experience in the insurance industry as an underwriter;
- You have a keen interest in or experience with vehicles, trucking and transportation;
- You are well versed in the workings of the insurance market;
- Knowledge of CMR is a plus;
- Good knowledge of Dutch and French, written and spoken;
- You are fluent in current office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook;
- You communicate clearly and professionally, adapted to your interlocutor;
- You put the customer central in your approach and think along in commercial solutions;
- You work in a structured and precise way;
- You analyze information thoroughly and make well-considered estimates;
- You function independently but actively seek cooperation with colleagues;
- You take responsibility for your files and fulfill your commitments.
