Description
Your key responsibilities will include:- You provide guidance to clients on a wide array of corporate and business law subjects, encompassing company incorporation, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, governance, and commercial agreements.
- You lead and oversee both domestic and international transactions, which involves drafting and negotiating critical documents such as share and asset purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, and collaboration contracts.
- You serve as a reliable advisor to clients by delivering practical and business-focused legal counsel. You proactively recognize their needs, fostering enduring client relationships.
- In addition to offering legal advice, you take an active role in defining the growth strategy of the Legal Services division. This entails contributing to the enhancement and positioning of the Corporate & Business Law team, both within the organization and in external settings.
- Coach and supervise junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. You share knowledge and encourage development and initiative within the team.
Your profile
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications and attributes:- A Master's degree in Law from a recognized Belgian institution, with a focus on corporate and business law or substantial experience in the field.
- Over 8 years of pertinent experience as an attorney in a distinguished (international) law firm or as a legal consultant in a multidisciplinary advisory setting.
- Fluent in Dutch, coupled with strong command of the English language.
- Exceptional analytical and drafting abilities.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to challenges.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing projects and meeting deadlines efficiently.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to business growth and development.
