Description
Job title: Legal advisorKey responsibilities:
- You analyze the effects of Belgian and European legislation, as well as court decisions and doctrines, on commercial and contractual law, consumer relations, trade practices, competition law, market practices legislation, real estate, security and other areas related to trade and services, and communicate the results.
- You provide advice and information to member companies and represent their interests at regional, federal and European level.
- You are in charge of the Security Commission and the Real Estate & Expansion Commission, where you work with industry experts to prepare sector positions and coordinate thematic working groups. You defend these positions with political decision-makers.
- You collaborate with the lobbying team on a wide range of legal issues in the above-mentioned fields.
- You develop an extensive network among the organization's members and partners.
Your profile
The ideal candidate:- Holds a Master's degree in law.
- Has experience as a consultant, lawyer or in-house counsel.
- Has the ability to translate complex legal issues into understandable terms and provide concrete, practical advice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills, proactive approach and business acumen.
- Is dynamic and able to persuade and enthuse others.
- Fluent in Dutch and French; good knowledge of English.
- Shows initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent teamwork skills and genuine team spirit.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexible and eager to learn.
