Description
As Executive Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of a leading organization in the insurance sector. You will translate strategic guidelines into concrete actions, ensure business continuity, and steer the organization toward sustainable growth, combining performance, human commitment, and a long-term vision.Responsibilities (non-exhaustive):
- Governance & strategy: Leading the organization in close collaboration with decision-making bodies; translating strategy into pragmatic, consistent, and measurable action plans.
- Human leadership: Leading a senior and autonomous team in a spirit of trust, responsibility, and co-construction; ensuring cohesion, motivation, and a positive working environment.
- Representation & public speaking: Act as the organization's spokesperson to institutional and sectoral stakeholders; participate in events, forums, and strategic debates in the sector.
- Sectoral & regulatory affairs: Oversee priority issues, coordinate the development of institutional positions, and maintain constructive relationships with the entire ecosystem.
- Business development: Stimulate forward thinking and innovation (digitalization, compliance, quality of service, customer experience); pick up on weak signals in order to anticipate structural changes in the sector.
Your profile
- Significant experience in or closely related to the insurance sector (company, brokerage, federation, broader ecosystem), with real ease in a representative role.
- Unifying leadership, clear and credible communication, ability to build support in a complex environment characterized by stakeholder diversity.
- Strong sense of governance, institutional dialogue, and teamwork.
- Languages: French is the main working language. A good working knowledge of Dutch is required in order to function effectively in a bilingual Belgian context.
- Qualifications are secondary to interpersonal skills, strategic vision, and the ability to make an impact.
