Description
Key Responsibilities:- Stay updated on changes and developments in relevant legislation to ensure compliance.
- Analyze new regulations and associated documents, including directives, delegated regulations, laws, circulars, FAQs, and ESMA guidelines.
- Support the Head of Compliance Conduct Risk in identifying compliance risks and assessing their potential impacts on various banking activities. Perform gap analyses when new regulations are released to determine their effects and develop solutions.
- Participate in projects aimed at implementing regulatory changes that affect the organization, as directed by your supervisor.
- Oversee the execution of MiFID/MAR/Cross-border processes and first-line defense controls by conducting compliance monitoring in pertinent areas. This includes supervising adherence to conduct rules, ensuring that client information collected is adequate, reviewing Customer Investment Profiles, order processing rules, suitability and appropriateness checks, and product governance.
- Conduct thorough testing in coordination with relevant departments to ensure compliance.
- Prepare clear and high-quality compliance monitoring reports detailing findings.
- Specifically address alerts related to MAR using Bloomberg Transaction Cost Analysis (BTCA).
- Engage in staff monitoring and associated activities.
- Assist in the creation of compliance reports for both internal and external use.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on compliance matters concerning MiFID, Market Abuse, and cross-border regulations.
- Draft and assess relevant policies and procedures for further evaluation by your supervisor.
Your profile
The ideal candidate:- Holds a university degree or its equivalent in business management, law, or a related master’s field.
- Possesses between 3 to 7 years of hands-on regulatory compliance experience specifically within the banking sector or in a consulting/auditing organization, with deep expertise in MiFID and Market Abuse regulations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of investor protection laws and capital market transparency.
- Exhibits advanced computer proficiency, including a solid grasp of the relevant laws and regulations governing the Luxembourg financial sector.
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, exhibiting strong organizational, analytical, and logical reasoning skills.
- Is fluent in both written and spoken English and French, with robust communication abilities in each language; proficiency in additional languages is considered a valuable asset.
- Displays strong organizational and analytical capabilities, alongside excellent communication skills that foster positive interactions.
- Adheres to high standards of honesty, objectivity, integrity, diligence, and commitment, embodying loyalty to the organization.
