Claims Assistant

Our client, a global insurance company, is looking for a new colleague in their Claims department. You will mainly be responsible for administrative support.

Description

  • Review and assess new claim files
  • Register new claims and create files
  • Add involved parties to the file
  • Add financial data such as bank accounts
  • Determine reserves and record them in the file
  • Process payments and register in the system
  • Sort and archive incoming correspondence
  • Close files as soon as the processing is complete
  • Agenda files for follow-up or consultation
  • Maintain administrative correspondence with insurers and brokers about the state of affairs
  • Managing archives and keeping them up-to-date
  • Scanning paper files and storing them digitally
  • Provide information and updates to or request from UW, OPs or accounting department

Your profile

  • You preferably have a first experience with insurance but another strong administrative experience can also be convincing
  • You are highly motivated and a hard worker
  • You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and English and you can handle yourself in French
  • You are precise and have a tight time management
  • You are flexible and enjoy working in a team
  • You have a good knowledge of Office 365
  • You have smooth communication skills, you are analytical and you like numbers
