Description

  • Collaborate with the Head of Global Business Units to facilitate team training sessions and execute the adoption of new organizational procedures.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for Relationship Managers and Business Heads regarding compliance issues, coordinating with the Risk and Compliance team as the second line of defense and occasionally engaging with the Audit team as the third line of defense. This encompasses conducting client risk assessments, which involves:
  • Evaluating and overseeing documentation linked to conflicts of interest, violations, grievances, and operational occurrences.
  • Recording and tracking exceptions, suggestions, and other compliance-related matters that require attention.
  • Compiling regular risk assessments for both new clients (within 120 days) and ongoing clients (AML file assessments) and providing necessary approvals, which may include soliciting further information or documentation and acquiring KYC/CDD details.
  • Deliver initial and continuous training to Relationship Managers and Business Heads on compliance and Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) subjects, as well as support in the onboarding process for new employees and foster staff development.
  • Review and improve the technical and compliance competencies of Front Office staff to ensure they align with the present and future requirements of the organization.
  • Assist Relationship Managers with their AML assessments and perform risk screening using relevant tools.
  • Ensure timely updates to the database when Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) or Simplified Due Diligence (SDD) protocols are implemented, or when a relationship with a Politically Exposed Person (PEP/EP) is discovered at onboarding or throughout the client’s engagement. Additionally, prepare reports on these matters upon request from the Regulator and/or Risk & Compliance divisions.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings of the Risk & Compliance Committee for the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Aid the relevant regulatory authorities by collecting all necessary information to address local regulatory inquiries.
  • Evaluate the implications of new regulations, legislation, and compliance developments on existing policies, procedures, and workflows, ensuring that relevant business and operational leaders are informed about these updates.
  • Coordinate with the Group Head on cross-border AML/CFT issues and propose enhancements to the Group’s AML/CFT practices.
