Sales Manager Insurance

Then you are the new Sales Manager we are looking for for our insurance client in the Antwerp-Limburg region!


  • In consultation with the Sales Director, you help convert the business plan into a tactical roadmap in order to achieve the intended objectives for the Life and Non Life activities together with the commercial team in your region.
  • You are ultimately responsible for the relationship with the brokers in your region, including conflict management, special negotiations and public relations.
  • You take responsibility for translating the company's values, image and quality standards within the brokerage network to maintain your employer's market position.
  • You play an active role in the "Outside in" philosophy by integrating market needs in a structured way and exchanging them with internal managers.
  • You lead a team by motivating and coaching them to achieve their goals. You help them develop their competencies by giving them the necessary feedback and/or providing them with appropriate training tools.
  • You are responsible for achieving sales figures and profitable growth
  • You are responsible for the preparation and presentation of the annual activity plan within the team
  • Your role as a people manager: Attract, motivate, manage and coach
  • Participate in the development of the 'Partnerships B2B' department by proactively making recommendations to your manager.
  • Establish and efficiently manage the department's budget
  • You deploy expertise for internal efficiency and support the company's image to the outside world
  • Maintain appropriate developments/information related to your domain and participate in knowledge transfer.
  • Represent the company at external events to promote the company's image in the B2B insurance market to the outside world.

Your profile

  • You have a master's degree and 10 years of experience in the insurance industry or in your field of activity, 5 years of which should be in a management position.
  • You have basic knowledge of all required insurance.
  • You have a strong commercial approach and can define and implement a commercial strategy.
  • You are also a real people manager, with the ability to lead transition and framed growth.
  • You are a true team player and entrepreneurial.
  • You have a long-term vision and strategy and can implement improvements within your team and within the management.
  • The customer experience is central to you, you are customer focused and have experience working with customers, brokers.
  • You have strong high-level negotiation skills.
  • Experience in change projects is a plus.
  • You are Dutch-speaking, with a good knowledge of French.
  • You are innovative, efficient and flexible.
