Procurement Officer

Our customer, active in the automotive leasing sector, is actively looking for a Procurement Officer.
In this role, you will support the Procurement Manager and your colleagues in the Procurement team in day-to-day activities and tender processes.
Eventually, you will evolve into an autonomous accompanier of these routes and processes in collaboration with the internal customer. You will actively take over the day-to-day management of a number of categories, for which you will also eventually be the first point of contact.

  • You negotiate with suppliers, always in consultation with the Procurement Manager, particularly for General Expenses and other categories, etc.
  • Project management (including calls for tender, etc.) and proactive follow-up and reporting. For these projects, you will learn to negotiate a competitive proposal with our suppliers. You learn to communicate clearly with colleagues in other departments about these projects.
  • Develop and implement (group) procedures and manage, monitor and mitigate related risks for Arval.
  • You will provide administrative support: drawing up and monitoring contracts, reporting, onboarding & risk management of suppliers, preparing meetings and projects (including presentations, etc.).
  • You will progressively take on the role of contact person for contractual partners and internal customers.
  • Preparation and active monitoring of supplier and category partner performance via KPIs.
  • You act as a back-up for your colleagues in case of absence.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree, ideally in procurement, and/or initial experience in procurement (1 to 3 years' experience in procurement).
  • You have a good knowledge of the country's second language (NL/FR- FR/NL) and English, both written and spoken.
  • Experience in leasing or the automotive sector is an asset.
  • In any case, experience in service provision is certainly a plus.
  • You are commercially minded, constantly striving to stand out from the crowd, a good communicator (both written and oral) and a born negotiator.
  • You are honest and apply impeccable ethics. You are able to quickly identify the important points and use them to make well-considered decisions. You demonstrate openness in negotiations, without losing sight of the company's interests.
  • You like to take the initiative, have an inquisitive mind, are innovative and structured, have good organizational skills and respect deadlines.
  • You are also able to work independently.
  • You are stress-resistant and able to handle the challenges of a constantly changing mobility dynamic.

Our customer, located in Zaventem, offers you..:
  • A varied job with different prospects in a dynamic, growing company alongside a motivated team.
  • The opportunity to further your career with Belgium's number 1 leasing company.
  • An attractive fixed salary with a wide range of fringe benefits.

  • Work doesn't mean work doesn't have to be fun! Every Thursday, we organize a drink with our colleagues. In addition, excursions and events are organized on a regular basis.
