Assistant Compliance / AML

Our client, a private bank, is looking for a new AML compliance assistant. The main tasks will be to maintain a legal watch, raise employee awareness, develop and implement policies and procedures, and ensure the company's compliance with compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will have initial experience in the banking/financial sector. They will also have excellent communication and analytical skills.   • Ensure compliance of the Company's activities with the applicable regulatory and prudential framework in terms of investor protection (MIFID and Economic Law Code), prevention of money laundering (AML), governance, integrity, public offerings (Prospectus), market abuse (MAR), data protection (GDPR) ...;
  • Planning and organizing the work of the compliance department (Risk assessment, Action plan, Controls, Reporting, Recommendations, ... );
  • Monitor and analyze legislative, regulatory and prudential developments;
  • Train and assist team members;
  • Develop and implement compliance best practices;
  • Participate actively in the company's development projects;
  • Participate in the development of internal policies, charters, procedures and other documentation;
  • Advise management on all compliance issues;

Your profile

  • Master's degree in law or economics;
  • At least 2 years' experience in the compliance department of a financial institution with a particular focus on investment services;
  • Good knowledge of financial products;
  • Very good command of French and good knowledge of Dutch and English;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Able to be pragmatic;
