Description

  • You will analyze various legal issues encountered in the course of the life insurance company's activities and strategic development. These questions concern the interpretation or application of the various legislation to be complied with (insurance laws, as well as relevant doctrine and case law, circulars from supervisory authorities, the Economic Law Code, GDPR, insurance distribution, insurance taxation, competition law, etc.);
  • You answer ad hoc legal questions from the company's management and operational departments, and if necessary, liaise with specialist law firms;
  • You draft or revise contracts such as subcontracting, distribution and commercial partnership agreements;
  • You collaborate in the development of new life insurance products in general, by drafting and validating contractual documents and advertising materials;
  • You take part in meetings with Assuralia and our commercial partners;
  • You provide support in managing complaints and disputes.

Your profile

  • You have a Master's degree in Belgian law and a minimum of 3 years' experience in a reputable law firm or in the legal department of a company in the financial sector;
A specialization in insurance law is a plus, and a strong interest in the life insurance sector is a minimum;
  • You are fluent in Dutch, French and English, and are also able to write in these languages;
  • You are curious and interested in acquiring knowledge in all areas related to the business and strategy of an insurance company;
  • You are structured, analytical and synthetic;
  • You are discreet and organized, and have excellent verbal and writing skills;
  • You are a self-starter, able to adapt to any situation, pragmatic and solution-oriented.
