Senior Internal Auditor

Our client, active in the insurance sector, is looking for a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Internal Audit team in Brussels. The candidate must have at least 5 years' experience in an audit function. If the candidate has 10 years' experience, he/she could eventually progress to an Audit Manager position. The company is located in Brussels and offers a pleasant and flexible working environment in which the human aspect is privileged.


As a senior internal auditor, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Independently plan and execute assigned operational audit assignments (from opening meeting to final audit report);
  • Evaluate internal control procedures within the organization;
  • Formulate proposals to improve the quality of the department's work;
  • Report periodically to the Chief Audit Executive on day-to-day activities.
Audit assignments are almost always carried out in Brussels.

Your profile

  • Degree and/or university level: law, finance, economics, auditing or equivalent ;
  • Training: banking, finance, insurance, economics, law, quantitative methods, etc. ;
  • Relevant professional experience:
  • At least 5 years' relevant professional experience in auditing. Experience in the insurance sector is a plus;
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations;
  • Experience/knowledge in risk management and auditing.
  • Ability to :
  • work independently ;
  • analyze issues critically;
  • communicate/convince well;
  • work with discretion.
