Description
- Provide support for product development functions related to various products (e.g., UCITS and AIFs) and the registration of funds in multiple countries;
- Offer ongoing legal services, including contract drafting and negotiation, addressing legal inquiries, and enhancing internal product-related procedures;
- Offer legal advice on product-related matters and potential impacts on business operations, including involvement in strategic projects like fund reshapes;
- Monitor new laws and regulations, assess their implications on relevant products and business units, and collaborate with external counsel and regulators;
- Represent the organization in external meetings and with fund associations;
- Serve as a key liaison with other legal teams, company secretariat, compliance, risk, and internal audit functions, fostering cooperation and alignment;
- Ensure consistency in processes and standards for fund launches, corporate actions (e.g., mergers, closures, objective changes), and regulatory registrations;
- Maintain or organize a knowledge database with relevant precedents and legal opinions, contributing to the improvement of internal procedures and operational processes in product delivery.
Your profile
- Hold a law degree with extensive experience in fund or investment-related environments, preferably at a senior level, often working independently;
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of fund structures and European investment management industry regulations, including UCITS, AIFMD, etc;
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating confidence and diplomacy when engaging with key stakeholders, board members, and senior management;
- Display commercial acumen;
- Have a proven track record in project management and possess strong organizational skills;
- Maintain an excellent attention to detail;
- Show a strong commitment to delivery and execution;
- Be fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages as a bonus;
- Act as a proactive team player;
- Possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
