Description

The Brussels Accounts department consists of 2 people, you included. You will be responsible for the financial management of the Brussels office.
As an Administrator you are co-responsible for the accounts administration as well as for its operational execution. You are a first point of contact for the team and for external parties, and you assist in completing the day-to-day financial
administration.
  • Liaison with bank and manage bank accounts, signatories etc
  • Bank reconciliation
  • A/P, A/R and collections
  • Monitoring of work in progress (WIP)
  • Controlling of payment batches
  • Client billing
  • Preparation of invoices for self-employed lawyers
  • Processing of payroll administration (output from external provider)
  • Application of Belgian tax rules (coordination with external accountants)
  • VAT administration and reporting
  • Controlling of general ledger
  • Clean-up and controlling of diverse suspense accounts
  • Monthly closure of accounts
  • Annual budget and rolling forecast
  • Cash flow forecasts
  • Advice to Brussels partners and reporting
  • Pro-active optimization of internal financial processes
  • Execution of diverse tasks as requested by the Finance Manager Benelux

Your profile

  • A Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent is mandatory
  • Minimum 3 years professional working experience in a similar role with preferably knowledge of 3E(Elite) in a Law firm or Consultancy (with a Partners structure)
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken and good knowledge of French; Dutch is an asset
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office tools; tech-savvy
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills; adaptable to various competing demands.
  • Confidence and drive as well as the ability to take initiative with outstanding judgement
  • Able to demonstrate absolute discretion and confidentiality towards colleagues, clients and external relations
  • Meticulous but pro-active and energetic person with strong interpersonal skills and able to build rapport
  • Be willing to make any efforts necessary to remain abreast of technical evolution required for the job

Offer

Our client wll offer you a permanent contract in 80% (schedule to be agreed with the other colleague). You will have the opportunity to join a company active internationally.
