Human Resources Officer

Our client, active in the energy sector, is looking for a HR officer.
The Human Resources Administrative Officer is responsible for managing daily administrative tasks of the HR department including managing HR documents, assisting in the recruitment and training processes and assisting in internal communication. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the HR department and supports other HR-related functions.


  • HR Documentation: Prepare, maintain, and update HR contracts and documentation. Ensure that all HR files and databases are accurately maintained, confidential, and up-to-date.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads, organizing resumes, setting up interviews, and issuing employment contracts.
  • Induction and Onboarding: Coordinate new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs.
  • Leave Management: Administer leave applications, track employees' leave balances, and ensure timely updates.
  • Reports and Metrics: Generate regular reports regarding staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
  • HR Correspondence: Answer employee requests and questions; redirect complex queries to the appropriate person.
  • Compliance: Ensure all HR processes align with legal and organizational standards.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and other HR-related meetings.
  • Internal communication: assist in preparing internal communication (emails, intranet, etc) and manage generic mailbox.
  • Works council and health & safety council: organize meetings. Review, translate and publish minutes of meetings.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide support in developing and implementing HR strategies that support business goals.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Fluent in French and Dutch required; English is a plus.
  • A first experience in HR or administrative roles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. HRIS experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Familiarity with HR best practices.
