Our client is an authorized underwriter offering customized insurance solutions in BOAR, including fire, auto, technical insurance, pleasure boating, BA & accident insurance. Our client operates in a business-to-business environment and distributes their products exclusively through a network of independent, professional insurance brokers. For their production department, they are looking for a Fire Underwriter who will primarily handle special risks.

Description

  • Development of Special risks (Industrial risk/SME with a production process) portfolio by analysis of risks, underwriting based on the underwriting guide
  • Preparation of offers (portfolio 5-6 million)
  • Follow-up of the customized portfolio
  • Follow-up of the offers within a certain timeframe
  • Support of the strategy within the branch (Brand Special Risks and in the segments that the company wants to develop and/or develop further
  • Follow up of your accounts
  • Quality control of risks based on Inspection/Re-inspection + Follow-up of prevention

Your profile

  • You have experience in the insurance branch of fire/property
  • You have at least 3 years of experience as an underwriter with a broker or insurer
  • You can work well with different IT applications
  • You have a highly organized personality
  • You have an entrepreneurial mentality and you contribute to the growth of the company
  • You speak very good Dutch and also good French. In addition, you have a solid basic knowledge of English.
  • You can cope well with changes in the work environment
  • You can work quickly in an autonomous way
  • You are results-oriented and enjoy working in a team
