Payroll specialist

Our client, active in the banking industry, is actively seeking eer experienced Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will be working in the Comp&Ben and Social Relations team. Your first task will be to ensure that all HR administration is in perfect order upon hiring, but also during the career, and upon departure. Payroll is also part of this, of course.
To this end, you make optimal use of all the HR systems and ensure a clear and efficient HR process. Reporting is also part of your job.

Finally, you are responsible for the development, maintenance and application of a payroll policy that supports the vision of the bank and you are responsible for the consultation with social partners.

Description

  • You will be responsible for administration and payroll processing for an assigned department of employees within the Bank, for which you will do the preparatory activities for payroll administration from A to Z.
  • Certain topics and processes will become your areas of expertise and you will coordinate and manage these across the board - for all departments within the Bank.
  • You will coordinate and participate in various projects together with the other HR colleagues, for example the further optimization and automation of the processes.
  • You will be involved in the test phases as well as the rollout of new releases of the applications.
  • You advise colleagues, employees and managers online or by appointment, and you are their first point of contact for questions related to wages, time registration, thematic leave and social legislation in general.
  • You continuously stay abreast of evolutions and developments within your field and proactively expand your expertise.

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree under your belt, preferably within human resources.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in payroll and a good knowledge of social legislation. A good technical knowledge of the operation of payroll/ time management/ master data software is an added advantage.
  • Moreover, if you have knowledge of cafeteria plans and other extra-legal benefits, you have an added advantage.
  • You work analytically, accurately and efficiently. You are stress-resistant and focused on team results. You are a team player who enjoys sharing knowledge with your colleagues and you get along well with Excel.
  • You are proactive when it comes to process improvements and you have a very good knowledge of French and Dutch.
