Recovery Officer

For one of our clients, specialized in debt recovery, we are looking for a new Recovery Officer.
As Recovery Officer, you are in charge of managing a portfolio of files that you follow up administratively. You are in direct contact with the debtors in order to recover the debt as quickly as possible. Your contacts are by phone, letter and e-mail. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation and communication skills. He/she is results-oriented and customer-focused. Description

Your main duties are:
  • The proactive management and follow-up of a portfolio of accounts receivable.
  • You will have various contacts:
Internal: with colleagues from other departments (including administration and accounting), foreign partners and external collaborators (mandataries, etc...).
External: with our clients and debtors, as well as with parties who intervene on behalf of the debtors such as CPASs, lawyers, receivers, debt mediators, employers, etc....
  • You ensure accurate administrative follow-up of the files.
  • You are backup to your Recovery Officers colleagues.
  • You actively participate in team meetings and working groups, projects, etc.

Your profile

  • You have at least a Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience within a similar function (debt collection management) is a plus.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch and French.
  • You can work fluently with Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • You are versatile, discrete and with integrity.
  • You are an excellent negotiator.
  • You are customer, result and goal oriented.
  • You have a fluent, communicative, dynamic and flexible personality.
  • You are stress resistant and can work independently.
  • You are flexible, organized, proactive and you have a good dose of team spirit.
