Head of Operations

Axis Executive is seeking today, for one of our clients, active in waste management a Head of Operations.

As Head of Operations you are responsible for the translation and roll-out of the strategy, the process optimizations, the steering of projects and the coaching and motivation of employees. You ensure the correct translation of the organization's vision & strategy into an efficient operational operation. You stimulate the operational functioning, coordination and communication between the different departments, and roll out best practices.

Your role translates in various areas:
Safety and Quality, business strategy monitoring, innovation and processes, and finally leadership.

Together with the 5 business units and their manager, you will make a difference in the day to day for customers (B2B), as well as internal colleagues.

Our client strives to work with a Safety first policy and wants the Head of Operations to be the pioneer of this as well to drive this rollout of "zero accidents".

Finally, you will be working in an SME structure that is part of an international Group with HQ in France.

Your profile

• Master's degree, preferably with a technical component (e.g. Industrial Engineer or Commercial Engineer or equivalent through experience).
• Broad experience in operations, logistics/supply chain is definitely an asset.
• Experience in managing people, people manager pur sang.
• Continuous improvement / operational excellence mindset.
• Driven, hands-on and entrepreneurial personality.
• You are fluent in written and spoken Dutch, French and English. German is a plus.
