We are looking for a Claims Adjuster who will go to the scene of the claim to assess the damage and manage the file. The ideal candidate will already have several years of experience in claims management and will be interested in moving into claims adjustment. Description
As a Fire Expert, you will accompany your clients and brokers in their claims experience so that this event in the life of the insured goes as smoothly as possible. Moreover, thanks to the variety of digital and non-digital means at your disposal to carry out your expertise, your daily life will rarely be identical!You will be responsible for :
- Carrying out appraisals and/or claims settlements in the various branches of fire and liability insurance, either through "classic" appraisals or through the digital means at your disposal;
- Evaluate material damages;
- Explain the assumption of responsibility or not for the claim in question;
- Determine responsibilities and possible recourse;
- Verify the insured capital and the conformity of the insured risk;
- Check the respect of the contractual commitments.
Your profile
- Have a Master or Bachelor degree (architect, surveyor, engineer,...);
- Have at least 3 years of professional experience (experience in fire/RC claims management is an asset);
- You speak French very well, knowledge of Dutch is a real asset;
- You have a driving license;
- Ability to lead multi-party surveys;
- Open to technical and non-technical evolutions of the profession;
- Possess a private investigator's license or be committed to obtaining one;
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in complex and important cases;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Persuasiveness;
- Empathetic and client oriented;
- Initiative and autonomy;
- Good planning and problem analysis skills.
