Tax Compliance Manager

Our client recruit a Tax Compliance Manager

Your main task will be to manage and supervise all filing and reporting obligations. In this role, your key functions will be:
  • Ensure the tax compliance requirements are fulfilled throughout the terms of the funds in a timely manner;
Manage and supervise the tax compliance team (currently composed of one tax compliance associate and one tax administrative assistant) in the performance of their functions, which include notably:
  • Preparation of the VAT registrations in Luxembourg and coordination with service providers for tax registrations abroad;
  • Preparation and filing of the functional currency and fiscal unity requests;
  • Review of variable interest computations;
  • Review of VAT and CIT returns prepared by the service provider for Luxembourg and foreign holding companies and property companies (17 European jurisdictions);
  • Supervision of VAT refund claims;
  • Coordination and review of the transfer pricing reporting;
  • Coordination of the US tax elections of the holding and property companies;
  • Maintaining internal records of tax filings and compliance calendar;
  • Managing the interaction between external administrators and tax service providers to ensure information exchange works correctly;
  • Work closely with the transaction tax team members and keep them informed of all relevant tax compliance and reporting obligations;
  • Be the contact person for the tax authorities in Luxembourg and abroad including local tax audits and corresponding to the requests of the tax Authorities.

Your profile

  • Master degree in Tax, Economics or Finance;
  • Relevant experience of minimum 8 years within a big four company or equivalent or in-house in a tax compliance role;
  • Knowledge of the Real Estate Investment environment is a plus;
  • Fluency English is mandatory, French, German of Dutch is a plus;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Proactive, rigorous and ability to multitask, identify priorities and respect deadlines;
  • Capacity to work autonomously and under pressure.
